Good on you, for being nice to all people. :-)

I am ever so slowly blocking the entire Internet

Every time I receive a spam, (or am alerted to a spam that got through my defenses) I block the whole freaking network the spam came from.

Just sayin'.

Which means that I am ever so slowly blocking the entire Internet.

/8 is a lot of domain names.  Just sayin'.

The Circle, continued.....

I am thankful that one of my friends told me that all those friends of mine are congregating in a Reddit forum (a sub-reddit, to be exact).

My past year has been lonely.  I really missed my friends.  But it appears that they are getting back together.

I had an honorable manager retire today.

He was a great man.

He was concerned about society.  He wanted only the best for it.

I am happy to know the things he knows, will make for better society.

Yeah, given that you all will fuckin give us the options to do the right thing.....

Checking in. Not a whole lot is up.

Bought the "upgrade" to Quicken 2014.  Wish I hadn't.

My heater is still broken.  Looks like I need a whole new air conditioning / heating unit.  That will likely be $3,800+

Figured out I cannot afford a new car this year.  Dang.  My Scooby-do is 18 years old, and still going strong - but I think I want newer technology.  Like wireless door locks.  Next year, then.  I really like the C-Max Energi, which has fuel costs around 25% of gasoline fueled cars.  Last week, at CES in Las Vegas, Ford showed off a version of the C-Max Energi with a 30 watt solar panel on the roof.  Free fuel, if I were to drive it to work and leave it parked out in the sun.  I like this idea.  I park out in the sun anyway, to keep trees from dropping gunk all over my car.  And if it drops my fuel costs from 25% of gasoline to 20% of gasoline, that is a win.

Work is slow.  We are still waiting on Sacramento to pass the budget.  Until then, there isn't a lot of work left to do.

And... that's about it.  At work, friends of mine are playing Path Of Exile on Steam.  It is free to play, and is (apparently) very reminiscent of Diablo.  Or what Diablo III should have been.

Went to a funeral today. Brought back memories.

My friend Steve lost his father a week ago (thereabouts).  The funeral service was today.
